My wife's first dish [Mar. 5th, 2008|08:11 am]
Rose made me her very first dish - Grilled Rosemary Lamb with tomato, onion, and cilantro salad!  I can't say much about it.  My only comment is I love it!  Rose really doesn't cook, but now that we moved to our condo, she always cooks, and it makes me excited to come home.

Truly, the second best way to a man's heart is through his stomach (as for the first - go figure!)

The first time I went to Naga City [Mar. 1st, 2008|06:23 pm]

The first time I went to Naga was during my friend Janice’s wedding in Jan 6, ‘08. That was also the time I broke-in my new Kia Carens.

The latest addition to my guitar family - Yamaha APX5NA [Nov. 18th, 2007|02:44 am]
Bought this yesterday at Yamaha.  I have been drooling over this guitar for months now.  I was having second thoughts to buy it because the price at Yupangco is so not reasonable compared to US/Japan prices.  The mark-up is just too high, almost 40% higher than outside the Philippines.  But thanks to Handog sale, I was able to buy the guitar at a cheaper price.  Now I have a guitar that will fit church/choir/jazz music.  I used to dislike classical/nylon string guitar, but when I started playing in church, I changed my mind.  What I really like about this guitar is the classical guitar sound in a contemporary body.

In line with this, I am giving my other guitar to Joel to buy out his share in our sound system hobby-business. Watch-out for his post on that, hehehe.

Me at Kalatog Pinggan [Nov. 2nd, 2007|02:23 am]
My mom found this picture while showing one of the photo albums to Rose.  I was at Kalatog Pinggan with Joey Marquez and Herbert Bautista (it's a noontime show at channel 4 if I remember it correctly).  This was probably taken around 1985-86.

My Handwriting Analysis [Oct. 21st, 2007|10:12 am]
   Another PhD-certified test from tickle

            The Handwriting Analysis Test

              Take this test!
People who are resilient have a writing style that reflects that they don't feel easily defeated and that they weather the storms that come their way. Their writing tends to be fast and slanted forward toward the right, indicating that they're ready and willing to move toward the future. They have unconscious faith in their own resilience, and thus they don't resist moving forward. Of all of the personality characteristics that are projected in their writing, resiliency is the one that predominates.

Introverted Extrovert [Oct. 15th, 2007|12:16 pm]
Some people say I am an extrovert, partly true, but deep down inside I feel I am an introvert.  At times I love being with people, but sometimes I'd rather be alone and feel stressed to talk to anyone.  My myers-briggs result points out my more dominant trait (by 2-4%) is an "E" - extrovert, but almost the same rating is an "I" - introvert.  As Carl Jung said: "every individual is an exception to the rule".  I guess people can't be boxed to certain personality types because everyone is unique.  So I'd say, I'm an "introverted extrovert".
